Meet Amy, our newest Certified Arborist!

Hi everyone!

I’m Amy Grewe – Jeff’s righthand gal in the business and his wife. I’m so excited to have earned my Arborist Certification this fall through the Nebraska Arborist Association! If you’ve called our office in the last year or so, you’ve probably spoken to me first! Aside from answering the phone, I’m the bookkeeper, social media and marketing guru, webmaster and blog author for Arbor Aesthetics. I LOVE MY JOB!

A little about me…

I’m fairly new to Omaha, and was raised in Lincoln. I began working for Jeff in September 2014 and so far, it’s been a fantastic partnership. I’ve always wanted to be a business owner, and had several years of office management experience already under my belt. It was a no-brainer that I would someday help Jeff run Arbor Aesthetics. It’s truly been a dream come true for me. It’s more rewarding than I could have ever imagined, and challenging, especially in the busy summer months! Jeff and I got married in May 2015 and are expecting our first baby in March 2016.
My formal education is actually in graphic design. I’ve designed logos and branding packages for several small businesses in Nebraska and beyond, and continue to do so in my spare time (wait…what spare time?) I love that I was able to bring my design skills to Arbor Aesthetics. Building on its already existing brand has been really rewarding and a LOT of fun! Who knew my design skills would eventually transfer to things like dump truck decals?!

And now I’m an Arborist!

I’ve always had a thing for trees, even before I met Jeff. Turns out, when you’re married to the owner of a tree service, you talk a lot about trees – which is great! I’ve really taken an interest in them over the last couple of years. When I made the decision to “quit my day job” and begin working for Jeff, I knew I didn’t just want to be his secretary, so I began attending as many tree care conferences and seminars as possible to learn more about our trade. I wanted to be able to talk trees with our customers and to educate them, too. Plus – I’m the one that writes our blog posts! It only made sense for me to earn my official arborist certification.

This marks the beginning of a lifelong journey and I have a lot to learn – but I’m really looking forward to gaining more experience and delving deeper into the Omaha tree care community.
